Overview
The Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV / Section 8) helps very low-income families afford safe, decent housing in the private market. Project-Based Vouchers are tied to specific properties.
Eligibility
- Household income at or below 50% of AMI (priority to households below 30% AMI)
- Meet HUD definition of family
- U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status
- No history of lease violations or fraud against a federal housing program
